Admission to the Livery
A Liveryman is the highest level of membership within the Company and qualifies a member for election to the Court of Assistants from which further election, through the levels of Warden, to Master is possible. In keeping with City of London traditions there is a cap on the number of Liverymen within the Company. It is the prerogative of the Court to identify those Freemen who fit the qualifying criteria and invite them to be clothed in the Livery of the Company.

a. the Freeman is also a Freeman of the City of London;
b. the Freeman has been free of the Company for at least two years;
c. the Freeman is and has been an active member of the Company having attended at least four of the Company City of London events as listed in Appendix E to the Company's Ordinances.
d. the Freeman's conduct is and has been acceptable;
e. the cap of 350 has not been reached;
f. an appropriate Livery fine has been paid, and,
g. there are no outstanding monies due either to the Company or to its Charitable Trust.
